I have greased this bearing twice in the past, But it time to replace. I removed seal, the the part you see that spaces the ball bearings is very lose, lost of slop. You can wiggly the shaft. I plan to replace it with one from a parts sled I have. I have been informed to get advice on how to. I have removerd the gear side be for. This will be a first for our yamaha riding group replacing this bearing. Basicly we need info on just the nut bearing area steps. ??parts 16 -21 on a oem part ording list under secondary sheave-05 warrior. Is there a mesurment i need to take for re-allining the sheave/belt for reassemble before I start. Will this be the same on existing sled & parts sled? Thank you

Why not just swap the whole jack shaft with the bearing installed from the parts sled??? If you do what to pull it and put one back on there, I'd forgo the used bearing and use new.

This process has been written about a lot. There is a big write up the tech section as well as numberous pages buried in here. Use the search tool. To me the hardest part was the chain case and making sure I got everything back correctly.

Well, that wasn't bad, got it changed out with a new bearing, inspected the other ones in the gear case. I did replace all 3 main seal $8.50 each, maybe needed maybe not. Getting the old secondary bearing out took a little bit. I needed to hit it hard, reassemble went good, Got the shaft within a 16th or so. Hope thats close enough, Going for a ride friday morning, let ya know it it works.
