need more hand heat - nylon washer spacer trick again

I remember reading a while ago on the site about sandwiching a nylon washer between the handle bar ends and handlebar so the bars don't loose heat or something like that.

I'll be on my first real ride of the season this weekend in N. Wisc. and should be nice and chilly. (Heading to Bent's Camp on Friday for lunch!) Like to try the washer thing to see if it works.

Anyone recall the specifics like width and thickness of washer? Anyone confirm that it works on 06 bars.
