Have a bender rear on a 03 RX1 Rays old sled... running ok but full in the "rich" on the meter. sounds and runs good 0 to 3/4 throttle , at WFO has some girgles.
runs best on an 80 pitot jet and that is the smallest I have. anything bigger and it stumbles all over its self. tryed up to a 500 even a 100 it is worse. air leek ? Where? clog in the carb?? Ideas.

Bigger jet makes it leaner, smaller jet makes it richer.

I would check for leaks. What elevation and boost are you running.

5 and 10 pounds boost and 6000 feet. it ran fine before and no changes have been made. I tryed going bigger to lean it out but the bigger I go the worse it runs.

I would check for leaks first. The bigger the jet you put in will lean it out, but in your case the bigger jet is making it run worse but not leaning the guage down.

Check all the simple things first. Check to make sure the intercooler did not pull off a carb, or that a carb didn't pull off an intake boot. Next check for cracks in charge tube or airbox(intercooler). Check air filter back at the turbo inlet. Where you running in a lot of powder, could the inlet filter be iced over?

Get in touch with Ray, he will probably have the answer. When it starts to act up, does it still increase RPM's or just flatten out?

One of the guys that is really good with these things will probably be helping out once all the New Years Eve parties are over.

I checked all the easy stuff. Come to think of it the gage is hard on rich with no movement so it may have a wire problem again. bad ground last time. Will look deeper in the AM
