Running 03 RX1 MCX 3K rear
wiseco low comps, carillo rods, .076 head gasket,
102 octane VP mix down, 127.5 and 15 pilots.
8BU -00 fully loaded with 45X2.0 rate. 51deg straight cut helix and silver spring, needles droped all the way. 22 - 30 lbs boost, 5000 - 9000 feet elevation

Its kinda stumbles at take off then goes and @ 8000 RPM takes along time to spool up but screames when does.
When riding back down to trucks it runs great @ 3000 feet. sooo snappy.

Too lean , too rich , too much octane ?????????????
any pointers would be great.

Oh ya when it winds up @ 30 lbs making 400 HP its crazy but takes too long to rev up. A/F guage is here but dont know where to start tuning.?????

Thanx Digital Dev

I think you are too lean on the mains and the needles, I am running 20lbs front mount 136.3 mains needle on #3 15 pilots at 10,000 ft. fuel screws 2 3/4 works good, don,t know how you guys are getting the 51 helix to work every time I tried it belt would loose side pressure and ruin the shieves in about 15 seconds by the time I relized it was slipping it was too late.

tuning prob

thanks for the input

anyone else have any thoughts?

Does it run @ 15-17 lbs? If so then yeah you may be too lean fo that boost level. Get it to run fine lower down and then work up.
With the 3k and pistons you will have some delay but nothing yoiu can't clutch around. I would put needles @ #2.
And make sure the rag is out of the intercooler :tg:
