My 14 year old daughter is learning to drive on a 2009 Phazer GT. She is doing great and loves it but doesn’t like the jerky high engagement ( around 4K) . Sled is bone stock. I have a set of 14.5 rollers laying around and see that they come with 15.5 stock. Will this do the trick to smooth out the engagement ? Thanks for the replies.

It will help for sure. Not only does it let the weights come out slightly further, but they will contact the weight at a different part of the engagement 'bump' on the weight most likely further lowering the engagement. My 14 year old daughter is learning to drive on a 2009 Phazer GT. Threw them in already(10 minutes). Lowered it to 3500ish. Much smoother for a ride today. I will go to the next lower engagement spring as soon as I can order one. That will probably drop it another 200 or so.
I’d just change primary spring.
