Well I survived one year without a sled - all of the problems with my last sled (07 Phazer) drove me from the sport :die I will pick up my 2011 Nytro XTX on Wednesday. Can't wait  Are there any real problems with this model?

Grab yourself a coffee, take an afternoon off and start reading through this forum.
Start with the FAQ section at the top there.
Some of the issues have been resolved by Yamaha, or in some cases an attempt to resolve. You'll need to look at your sled and check to see exactly if anything was done.
I go through many of the parts micro fiches and check to see if the P/Ns are changing year to year.
One big thing...
Don't stud right down the very center of the track.

Cheers

Just wondering why not stud down the center of the track. im coming off an 08 rtx with the studs down the center.2010 xtx in the gararge

No doubt, you'll need new skis.

Yes, why no studs down the middle?

Yes, new skis. I also had the Phazer at the same time as the Nytro and I also gave up on the Phazer. I have Ski-Doo pilots on the Nytro and its like a different sled.

Check the coolant once you get it home. Its probably mixed way to strong, or almost straight anti-freeze. Get a bottle of Water Wetter to help with the cooling.

Also, might want to start looking for bags, since you have ZERO storage.

It's an XTX issue.
This link shows what we are looking at.

Changes have been made for 2011, but was it enough??
Don't stud it down the very center unless you want to test out Yamaha's apparent fix.

Got it thanx, just raised red flag when I read that. Going to put studs in this weekend.

I'd probably avoid the very middle of the track anyways...since the clearance is pretty tight on these yamahas. The middle of the track will be the first place to hit the heat exchanger when the track balloons out.

Just to be safe, I didn't stud the very middle, like 1 1/2 inches of the track. Ran 1.450 studs and had the track pretty loose when it stretched out, no hits

;)!
