BEING KINDA NEW TO THIS FORUM AND THE RX1, (1200 MILES) A FRIEND IS TELLING ME TO RUN FCR (or something like that) CARBS, THEY ARE MANUAL AND DO NOT RELY ON VACUUM. AT WIDE OPEN THROTTLE HE SAYS THAT THEY (STOCK) TEND TO CLOSE... IS A CARB SWAP WORTH THE 850 THEY WANT. FRIEND STATES BIG IMPROVEMENT ON HIS CYCLE, BUT WONDERED ABOUT THE SLED. SOUNDS LIKE IT SHOULD? quick response is what he achieved. any input appreciated.

carbs
It should be better but manufacturers use cv. carbs. because they
have a smooter throttle response. The slides are closing at top end
(fact) caus' there is a vacuum drop... Racers AND turbos would
benefit of non cv. carbs for shure...

Might want to try different CV slide springs for $40 (from holtzman) instead of changing the entire set of carbs.

GN240Z, If you get the complete air kit, it includes spark plugs, jets, and springs for the carbs. Don't just get K&N's make sure you get them from Freddie.
