Just received my CPR stage II clutch kit. I also have the ECP kit w/evac. I don't know $#@! about wrenching, and am a little leary about my dealer installing this. I guess what I'm asking is it easy enough to have my dealer install? I know there won't be any testing done if they do it. Is there much 'dialing' in that needs to be done? I'm in Western Michigan, and have already called one local tuner, (recommended by Freddie) but he was 45 days out, as of last week Just want to make sure it's installed correctly and performing like it should.
Thanks for your help!

Vineyard,
For someone who has experience working on sleds it is fairly easy to install these kits. It really takes someone who is going to pay attention to the details to make a very good end result. I would say if you are interested in learning to wrench on and tune your own sled these kits would not be a bad place to start especially with all the help you will get from us on this site. Installation of the ECP kit requires the carbs to be synchronized which uses a special tool but you could still do the installation and have a reputable tuner sync the carbs. For someone experienced, syncing the carbs is very easy. There should be no tweaking or tuning needed with the clutch kit. The ECP kit may require a one or more changes to the position of the metering needle in the carb and/or changes to the position of the air screw. These are easy to do just need the time, place and conditions to test and adjust. There are other things that should be checked when installing these kits such as the condition of the ignition coils and alignment of the clutch pulleys. Some people have installed the kits and reported poor performance. the poor performance was NOT due to the kits but due to other problems. There is a LOT of experience with these excellent kits on this awesome site.
