New Dupont Hyfax?

Yes for the Viper SMA-DPSSV-MT-00 ....up to174" long

I have them on my Viper and they come new on the 16 Apex. I used two sets of hyfax in the first 1500 miles on the viper change to the DuPont Hyfax I put 2500 on them and they are not half worn out yet.

Thanks, both of you, must order these right away. Anyone tried these and experienced how much longer they last then the short ones?
Check out the Hyfax extender kit from Pioneer .
It lowers the wheels , and comes with an extra pair of wheels , so the sled rolls much easier and less friction on the hyfax .
You wont believe how much more the sled rolls down a slight incline , as compared to the stock set up .
And then you can add the Duponts , in addition .
If you were doing one or the other , I would go with the extender kit .

Pioneer has a sale going on--just bought the wheel lowering kit, 4th wheel kit, monoshock bushings, and stabilizer bar at around half price

I have that exact setup on my Attack. 3,000+ miles and little to no wear on the DuPonts.;)!

And again just how far do the vespel inserts go down the length of the slider? On the 144 they end at the 121 length! Where do they end on the mountain slider? Can't seem to find that out.

82 bucks for the XTX and 150 apeice for the mountain ones.

WOW $82. i can buy a lot of regular plastic sliders for that cost. i get 4500 Km on a set of regular slides on my XTX. i can't justify paying that much for those. maybe it's just me but i still believe that something has to wear in low snow conditions so i would rather change sliders then replace the track or the track clips, JMO

Yamaha says the DuPont Vespel material in the parts catalog "stronger than harden steel, aluminum, or even titanium" also gives a hardness rating. So it looks like are track clips are going to take a beating. I am going to take a serious look at my track clips and see how they are.

Which kit is best for my 2011 Apex XTX?

There is Mono I and II, but description for the XTX-kit says this:

"We've developed a Hyfax Extender Kit for the 2012-2015 Apex XTX (will not fit 2011 Apex XTX), and 2011-2014 Nytro XTX Dual Shock CK suspension.

Here we go again with the track clips. Over 8,000 miles with duponts with no visable wear on the clips. The hardness rating of the Vespel does not induce wear. Vesper may be hard but its very slippery which reduces heat and therefore wear on the sliders. I have ran at 60mph for two miles on an icy road with no snow and the Duponts did not even get hot melt or stick. I have ran two miles or so on a frozen gravel road with no snow at about 30mph with no heat no sticking. Pretty sure the sand wore everything.

Choice is 500 miles to a set of standard sliders worn to the rails (bet that would be hard on the clips) or 3,500 plus miles on the Duponts. Change sliders every second day of riding or change them at the end of the season. I'll stick with the Duponts.

That's good to know, makes me feel better.
