FX Nytro to be exact.
I do not want to see any more legacy names return. After seeing the VMax snowmobile, motorcycle AND series of outboards, Yamaha owes its faithful a few new original names.
I was very happy to see the recent models come out with names like Viper, Nytro, Venom, Apex & Vector. FRT-5 and XFGDETRS-42 just doesn't cut it for me, although admittedly I do like the name RX-1.
No more Vmax's, Exciters or SRV's for me please.

I'm with jack_shaft. Forget raising all these old names. Now the phazer is a little different story. IMO its kinda true to what the original was targeting. Otherwise this "History repeating itself" stuff is a big marketing mistake. The Exciter was not even close to making a impact on sledding like the original phazer.
Exciter sounds like a Woman's sled.

Well I think if they came out with an higher HP Apex, instead of calling it 'Apex HO' or whatever call it 'Apex SRX'. But other then that I think it should be new names as well...
I would buy an exciter. The name was and is cool. If the sled represents a light, improved and higher HP evolution of the Phazer it's appropriate as well.
Besides, if all you have to complain about is the name, why bother!!!!

Well, Doo has the Bee, Poo has the Dragen, Cat has the Cat, How about Yamaha with APE-X or the KONG, for Wild-Power.

I think Kong would work pretty well!
