Just read on AmSnow that it appears that Yamaha may be introducing new skis in 2012 for the power-steering equipped models and FX Nytro.
"After a recent lunch with the brass at Yamaha snowmobile HQ in southern Wisconsin they told us that our input during our test sessions helped them decide to go with the more aggressive ski choice of the two they were considering. The ski is known as the 8HV.
We will have the full update on this ski and all the other improvements to Yamaha's lineup starting in our Buyer's Guide issue coming out in late August. For now, just know that the new ski gives the new power-steering equipped Vector better handling in the corners. It also will be used on the Apex, RS Venture GT and FX Nytro trail models."

It sure would be nice for yamaha to make a good ski. But till they do I will keep using the 6.9 pilots. They just seem to work good with a 6" ik the middle and a 4" on the out side.
