Venture set up
If it like the 05's set the front shocks kinds soft, rear's a little hard and throw out the stock carbides and buy new one's, if anything replace the carbides. I usually had to back up midturn. I just bought bergstrom triple point cardbides. If you tell him you found him on this site he gives you a discount. I also suggest shiming the ski's.

Kyzer, Guy's name is Bob Botke, He now lives nearThesalom Ont. He ran snowmobile tours all over Canada. Real nice guy with great family Our trails on Drummond Island have gotten better and beter. Best kept secret is we're only 12 miles from Ontario for the best riding in the world. We spend most of our time up there.

put ski doo 6.9 pilots on it for way easier steering. especially if you get off trail. Also, if she ever needs the sled to turn while going slow, put both feet on one side, this snaps the track around nicely.
On the topic of easy steering, has anyone installed a zerk on the main column steering bushings/bearings? Ski-doo has these and I can't figure out why yamaha doesn't. The shop manual says apply grease when it's apart, but there is no good way to grease it once it's together.
I think it's hard to get the rear skid to stroke all the way for 1 up riding, yet it's a little soft for 2up. That said, set the front spring of the rear skid as hard as you can stand it as it "lightens" the front end. Also, make sure there is plenty of transfer on the rear suspension.
Key for this sled is accelerating / maintaining speed smoothly through turns. there is never a shortage of weight on the skis, from my experience.
They did revise the front suspension for 06, and these ideas are garnered from an 05 RS venture, so they may not all apply.
