I was talking to a reputable company that makes 39" chrome moly front ends and spindles for the Nytro. To date They also make the narrow stance and a 42" for the Apex. Not mentioning any names since they are not a true advertiser from what I can see.(don't want to rock the cart
) They have bee getting a lot of people asking for the lighter, chrome moly ends with a wider trail stance. Similar to the wider front ends other companies sell for the Apex.
I told him I would like to see a 43-45" possibly. What is your opinion? I told him I think most would like to be able to use their stock shocks if possible; to keep down the cost. I also told him that I wouldn't want to see these cost anymore then the existing ones he sells. My only real concern with going 45" or so is the posible tickets you could get for having your width wider then legal. With these new wider ski's it really stretches it. Hate dealing with the DNR when they have a bad day
Heck if he starts making trail parts TY might be able to get him on here for support.

I to have been in search of a stock width or slightly wider front "A" arm kit for my 2009 XTX that would save weight in a crucial area of the sled, even thought I might have to make my own. I would definitly purchase these from some one if they were available and of good quality.

would love a wider front end for the mtx. stock short track width or a little wider, would make that sled more stable on the trail... to the fun stuff in my opinion. ski

I would be happy with a stock width front end for an 08 RTX....with updated geometry.

That is why I through in the 42" size on the poll. It would give that close dimension with new geometry, a trail style spindle set up, and lighter then the 09/10 oem parts. Probably a choice of 2-3 colors also.shaddow44 said:I would be happy with a stock width front end for an 08 RTX....with updated geometry.

Get them in if interested. He said he will start building next month. Sounds like only one additional size compared to what he sells now. Got people pm'ing me about the 45" size. Add it to the vote if you have not.

Wider, like a 44" would be nice but trying to fit that in a regular clam shell enclosed trailer with another sled wouldn't work....it's tough enough with both sleds having C&As.....

Since my sleds, and trailer is not here right now. What is the width that most guys can fit in their trailers? Assuming you are using aftermarket ski's, but not huge powder ski's. Since deep powder guys would probably use a 39" front end. So a standard Curve or C&A style. Thanks guys.
Don't forget that we could overlap ski's a bit if need be. DOn't normally like to, but if it gives us a better ride, Why not?

Lets not forget the by widening out the front end, will make the machine more stabile in corners, but more squirelly thru the rough stuff. Remember that this IS a rough trail sled, I'm not saying that it will handle poorly, or worse than a stock 08', but you don't wanna go too wide. I would like to see some feed back from other riders before I buy a set. This is a good idea, I just wanted to point out the fact that the sled would corner better, but might not be so great in other areas once the front is more than 3-4 inches wider than stock. This would obviously be less of an issue on a longer tracked sled.

Looks like he is taking orders for the 42" with the new allterrain trail spindle, and may take orders up to 44". Since a 44" wide end with a 6.5" ski would just about make it on a 101" wide trailer. Not sure if the stock shock will work with the 44". waiting to find out on Monday.
