Hey guys,
Running an 10 MTX Nytro. I took my heated grips off couple weeks ago. Nice & carefully. Cut my handle bars down 3" & reinstalled the heating elements.

I'm sure they worked couple weeks ago but I only ran the sled long enough for the eng light to go out.

Anyway now I have no grip or thumb heat. No codes on the dash. Is there a main fuse for heated grips that I possibly popped?
-25 up here & I didnt start to tear into wire harnesses or break any plastic.

Thanks for any help or directions.

The heaters are fed via the ignition fuse. So its not a fuse issue.

I would think your elements is shot. You can measure the resistance in the grip heater contact in the umbrellas behind your headlight. It should read 20 ohms or something like that.

Im running a Turbo Nytro. No headlight.
What are the umberalles you are refering to? A pic or description would help.

Heading out west tomorrow morning so can meter them when I get out there. It will have to wait till Im home to replace them.
Just odd that I lost both grips & thumb. I know they worked last season & Im sure they were at beginning of this season too but only 2 rides & both at -25 or colder & I now know they DONT WORK!!

The two rubber umbrellas that all wires too/from the handlebars go into. Right in front of your radiator.

I would unplug the grip heater contacts if you dont get them to work.

They can cause the 20 amp ignition fuse to blow!
