I highly recommend this. I took my sled out the other night and when I returned I noticed poorer visibility from when I started and found snow built up on the head light assembly. That recess gives it an area to build up and with little to no heat being emitted from the LED's it doesn't melt. I remembered that I had rain x for plactic that I bought for my bikes and applied a coat. I went back out, the same route and the snow didn't stick this time. It's worth a shot.
PS; Even thou they look cool, the LED's don't reach out far enough for me.............

good advice....only negatives with leds...no heat to melt snow...and dont throw down the trail as far as hids..
my solution to this is add more lights and better quality..something cool is coming shhhh!

I was thinking of some projector beams mounted on each side of the front cross member between the a arms. I am waiting to see how bad it is first though.good advice....only negatives with leds...no heat to melt snow...and dont throw down the trail as far as hids..

Yup, I agree...made post on this last week. Headlight looks cool in parking lot, but no distance. Dealer told me to lower it and would help, but haven't had a chance to try yet.

Compared to my viper this headlight is boss. I think with the right adjustment it will be tough to outrun. Cuts through the snow dust a lot better than halogens.
About the lack of heat a few of my riding mates have axys sleds and maybe once or twice in two seasons, I have seen them have to climb off and knock the snow off.
