To start off I know that there are not many fans of the Maverick track. Myself included. I currently have a 09 Nytro 153". It didn't take me long to take that POS off and install a Attack 20 and straighten the paddles.

So my question is to those of you that have a Nytro 162" with the stock Maverick. How does it work? Is it as bad as the 153" was/is? Did the single ply newer version help at all? I don't want this to turn into a "what is the best track" thread. If I was to get a 11' or older I would probably put on a Challenger if I had to. Ideally I would like to find a slightly used 12' or 13' so I would not have to worry about the track.

Thanks in advance. :4STroke:

The 162" is just as bad as the 153.I had my old apex mtn 162" maverick and 153" nytro maverick side by side with my brother in 60"fresh powder and my buddy with a camo extreme was running circles around us.Both sleds would make it with in 15' of each other climbing through trees.

Ya I was super disapointed with my maverick. It was actually embarrassing. Couldn't climb anything. Couldn't get traction.it was horrible. I can't speak for anything else yet but the favorite around here seems to be the challenger extreme. Thats what I bought hope it is as huge of an improvement as ppl say it is.

got a 2010 maverick track real cheap if anyone wants it. 162"

See if you can find the new stock 162" peak style. Seems to work pretty good for me once my skid was set up.

Worked really well in the snow down in Togwotee area. Snow in Revelstoke is a bit different but worked well there too just slow on off throttle was not as good. Once moving though I had no complaints and would climb as good as everyone else.

Ideally I want to find a 12 or 13 Nytro 162". I would think the new drivers and track would make the newer ones shine. I do ask about your comment about the about the slow on and off throttle. Was it trenching when you moving slow? Just curious about your findings.
