This has happened several times now....
Cruising very slow and very little throttle briefly and the sled limps down to idle speed, yellow light blinks on/off on dash with engine icon blinking....
As soon as you slow down to idle and get into the gas harder the yellow light goes out and so does the engine icon and the sled runs fine??
Always seems to be standing but that is prolly coincidental.
It's when going slow with the throttle flipper barely pressed...
Is this the TORS or whatever that throttle play thing is??
Is my throttle cable maybe too loose in slack??
I've had it happen several times now...it's usually when I am puttin along waiting for someone to catch up or when I am just crawling along at just above clutch engagement speed and am barely using the throttle??
Nytro thing?? Yamaha thing??
???

tors
Well...I should have just searched 1st
As I suspected its clearly the TORS havin a hissy fit.
Back in the shop and under scrutiny the throttle cable has waayy too much freeplay...this is obviously why the TORS is kickin in...just doin it's job....
I am old school...would prefer carbs/pull start and NO safety devices of any kind....cars/trucks/sleds/bikes etc....but those times are gon..'cept for my retro hardware.
Progress..
I will adjust the throttle cable, disable TORS and install a tether....and ride on!!

throttle cable needs to be adjusted so that it rocks full travel of the tors switch before it starts pulling on the cable to open the butterflies on the throttle bodies.
