Nytro spark plu change

Thought I'd share thise with everyone in the hopes that it could save you some time. In this months issue of Snowgoer mag they did a tech session on changing the spark plugs on the Nytro and what a timely task it was - over an hour. They instruct you to remove all plastic panels, seat, and fuel tank in order to access the plugs.
Most of you may already know this but some may not...You don't need to remove anything but the left side plastic to change your plugs. I'll explain...In the tool bag that Yamaha supplies the Nytro with is a pivoting socket type wrench that fits the plugs. Use a flat head screw driver and carefully pry the plug caps off (be carefull and watch your knuckles). With the wires off drop the pivoting socket tool into the spark plug area until you feel it drop around the plug. Then take a small 14mm socket and socket wrench combo and fit it over the pivoting type wrench. The pivoting type wrench's end is 14mm so it fits perfect and allows for some movement/pivoting while operating the socket wrench making it easier to loosen or tighten the plugs. Repeat this step on the remaining 2 plugs and you're done. 10-15minutes is all you need...not 60 minutes plus.
For the record...I am 235lbs and my hands are not small.

You said it Yamahahaha...The magnet is a nice touch. Isn't it funny how all the Yamaha 4-stroke haters try to find things to pick on. 60 minute job my arss!

i laughed when i saw this, its a 2 minute job. the plug tool it comes with is nice cuz it has a megnet inside. its imposible to get witth ur fingers

most spark plug sockets have rubber inside to hold the plug for you, atleast all mine have, very handy idea! Without i wouldn;t want to change these plugs
 
lol, and how often do u change plugs? there's another thing for the bombi bitches! jk(I like bombi) I was on same set for 2 years with 4000km on it. changed to cr10ek's.

supposed to be a few extra ponies, for the cost of plugs i will be replacing them once a season.
 
A plug change once a season should be all that's needed unless you don't properly warm the sled up (i.e. - unloading/loading from trailer.

Seasonal plug change is a waste of money IMO. But if it makes you feel better by all means go ahead.
I have over 30,000 km on my motorcycle on original plugs , no issues. Over 16,000 on my NYTRO, changed the plugs to cr10ek when I did the power commander intake and exhaust in 2012.
