Wow. that is a change from your last post. Keep us posted on the results....on and off trail. I just changed to a 136 cobra with extros on a new MB shaft. I too, was hopeing to find some brackets to raise the back an inch or two, but with the arm + the upper wheel bracket, I was unable to find someone that made this set-up that was ready to bolt in. I was only told to buy universal brackets, and modify to work. So I left the stock brackets alone. I am in hopes for some improvement on and off trail. Like you, I have read many praises of the cobra.....we will see.

Just move it back 4" and drop it down 3/4". I used all the stock mounts, and for the rear ones you can't use the holes for the bolts to go in. I just drilled new holes in the rear mounts and used hardened bolts and nuts.

Skip the extros, you won't need them with the Expert. Mine NEVER ratchets. If you do the setback with extros, I'd recommend antistab wheels for the front of your skid. I'll more than likely add them to my skid before the season starts.

Reading though viper_daves post history and the replies from LB I was able to piece it all together.
Not going to do the extros as I was learning how the Expert X moves I see why they're not needed.
What antistab wheels are you getting dave? Not sure if kits are universal.

I'll probably make my own. I have some small wheels that Yamaha sold as a hyfax saver that will work. I haven't had a problem in 2 seasons, but have witnessed a stabbed track. DON'T want that to happenway out in the bonnies LOL!

Screaming Eagle is way too loud. I'll be searching for another option.
Got a RX1 exhaust cut off the muffler so I would have duals with a crossover. cut out the rear cross member and used 3/4 copper tube to reroute the coolant to the rear of tunnel.

What side wall size did you use. I had copper tube on my 06 and the damn thing keep getting holes in it.
I have the whal antistab kit. Seems good so far, about 700 miles on it.easy to put on also.lawmanbsi said:Reading though viper_daves post history and the replies from LB I was able to piece it all together.

Can't tell you the gauge but it was the thickest they had. I guess bringing a spare hose to bypass a leak will be a good idea

Thinking about getting this setup. The Expert X has a lot smaller rail tip then the stock rails. Going to have to take some measurements before ordering.
