I have a mono skid that has the yamaha shock with the adjustment on the tunnel. What would it take to install an electric ohlins and remove the solonoid and have it controlled with the tunnel mounted knob?

Why stay with the manual adjustment knob ? I believe if you add the olhins to a 06-10 Apex/Attak the electronic adjustment is already programmed into the sled. I'm sure others on here can verify that for you.

This is going on a 2 stroke, I didn't really want to fool with a battery and electronics.

I don't think it can be done, you will have to check with one of the shock rebuilders.

Will it be set up to use the knob that is bolted to the outside of the tunnel?
What does he charge for the mod?

The dial on the tunnel will not work with an Ohlins EC shock. The black solenoid up at the top by the reservoir will be deleted and a manual high/low speed clicker will be put in its place.

Obviously it won't be plug and play. ..but surely it can be modified to work with enough effort.

Rebound wheel (adjustment knob) is on the opposite end of the shock assembly. The KYB has a cable assembly that threads in.....two totally different animals. Not trying to crap on your idea, just giving you real info.
