Anyone toying with the idea about a oil pressure guage or mabee even a warning lamp?
The only spec i see is 7 psi at 1450 rpm now I see a problem here.
1 1450rpm wtf is gonna happen at 10k
2 what guage would i use what kinda max psi would we see i read on a
R- 1 bike forum about 70 psi when cold .
3 Wheres the best place to get a pressure reading for a guage i know about the small bolt on the left rear of the head anyone ever put a guage on this?
I know what guage i would use and where i would put it autometer #2178 and oppisite the ign key.

I cannot believe nobody here has an opinion or some input on this subject this in my eyes is a serious problem seeing you can ride alot further without water than you can oil.

If I remember correctly the max psi is somewhere around 15 and with that I could not find a decent gauge to that would work. SO I decided againest it

The RX easily makes over 60 psi according to my gauge. I spent a few days on this when I had to reduce the pressure my turbo bearing was getting.
I just t-ed into the supply line i had coming out of the oil cooler to hook up the gauge.

autometer makes a nice 1-1/2" 0-15psi or 0-60 or 0-100 psi guage that will fit in the spot oppisite the ign key.
#2178 #2179 and #2180
Thanks for the info guys.
