Took off at 8am and arrived at 7pm. 250 miles in total today. Was a great day and there was anywhere from 4"-6" of fresh powder the whole way.

Sunrise on mystic lake

Wolf kill along the trail

Eugene getting very stuck

So much for snow not sticking to the zx2. I finally lost a pin on the revolver. Good thing I had some bolts for it. Will replace all the pins with bolts ASAP

Good fuel prices along the way

Made it back yesterday. The trip was cut back to three days because of unexpected issues (not related to the trip)that could not be put off. It was a great trip with only a few minor issues with my sled. Not the sleds fault, more like over looked things on my part. Lost a revolver pin on my zx2 but I had a couple bolts to replace. I knew about the problem but just never changed them. The othe issue was the air filter plugging up with snow a couple times and causing a bog issue. With the fresh powder and wind the trails were drifted in badly and my engine compartment was full of snow, which I think led to my other issue. It was -30c yesterday morning and my sled wouldn't start. I don't think it was my battery. When I turned the key I could hear a click but nothing happened even when we tried to boost it. I kept trying the key and eventually it worked. Don't know what it was, bad connection somewhere I guess but it never happened again. We spent 14 hours on the sleds yesterday and thins went without a hitch. We couldn't wait to get back to the bush because most of the trails sown south are across fields and I am used to bush trails livi g in the north. I think I am hooked on long distance snowmobile travel now.
Overall it was a great trip and we did 675 miles/1090km in three days.

May I ask where in sask this was? Looks like some great boondocking along those power lines, and they usually run for miles!
