Anyone have a list of spring options for these shocks? The ones that came on mine are to soft.

Thanks

Go to Pioneerpreformance, they are a sponsor of this site. Bruce has all the info ya need

Yamaha lists the 07 GT as having 2.3kg/130lb front springs, which is the same as the spring on the Pioneer webpage. Maybe Pioneer offers other springs? Yamaha does offer a 2.45kg spring, but that is not much of an increase... less than 10lbs, it might be hard to notice...

bjowett, where did you get that info?? Was it in your manual? I was hoping someone could post a list of the springs and the specs ie free lengths, coil diameters, etc........ Not sure which spring came on mine but its pretty soft.

Looked on the Yamaha parts finder for the 08 GT and it lists two spring options.

8FR-23760-00-00 SPRING ASSY 1 (K=2.3)

8FR-23760-10-00 SPRING ASSY 1 (K=3.0)

I ordered the GYTR's from them off there accesories page. Part number GYP-8GD91-10-00. They must have come with the 2.3's????

Anyone confirm this for me before I order the stiffer springs??

You may want to consider dual rate springs (2 seperate springs per shock.) The high rate spring firms things up for the big hits while maintaining a softer ride through smaller stutter bumps with the low rate spring. I have used them for several years and love them. Hygear Suspension sells them and is a sponsor here.

Got a call back from Yamaha and the ones I have came with a 2.7k. I already ordered the 3.0k if they don't work I will call Hygear.

Thanks
