ordering parts for my viper

i have a clutch kit in mine and am looking into putting a full hindle system on it. i feel it will be enough for me. so far with adding some wheels to the skid, the clutch kit and running the 8dn belt (thanks tim) i have picked up 7 to 10 mph top end and feels stronger in the middle. i dont feel that reducing the gearing will be worth the money. with a rtx you will already spin till 50 on stock gears so why try to get more snap? i have a buddy that geared his nytro and my cousin has the same one not geared and they run exactly the same out of the hole at 70 he gets about 2 ft but on top end they even out. just my thoughts. i would run the 8dn from the start. have you rode the ltx vs the rte in the 14s the ltx i feel handles way better it isnt as squirly on take off, hooks better, and breaks better, i didnt notice any disadvantages with the ltx. today i went into an untuched field and played in 3' of untouched snow like it was a mountain sled. thought i was stuck twice but wiggled it right out. just my thoughts. but the 15s are different and will handle better with the 1.7 for the rtx i feel.

No worries tator! I'm happy it worked! Now we just have to get a clutch kit that rocks! Mine is pretty good, but I know I'm missing something! Allen will hook me up!

i have the hauck 5 clutch so it is fully adjustable just needs some fine tuning to get it right. now that i have a steady place to start.

I started with that same kit, except different secondary spring than you and different helix. And I put yamaha parts back in it to see what was causing my problem. And with all yamaha parts except Hauck weights I was 7 mph faster in same distance. On the same day just a little time in between to change clutching around. Have not tried the #5 with the 8DN though. Maybe I should try that????
