I know powder coating is the way to go but...I just want to buy a can of spray paint, pick a colour and paint. Would any automotive paint do the trick? I am thinking of just scuffing up the arms, spray painting and maybe spray on a clear coat. Has anyone else done this?

I've done it with my bumpers and screens used some fine sand paper cleaned it all off with acetone and sprayed with white appliance epoxy. I've even bumped small trees leaving a dent in my bumper and never lost the paint. I think it was a krylon product

Any decent auto paint will work but shop around and find a cheap powder coater. I'll bet you can get all 4 PC for $100. Good prep is most important. Even so they're gonna chip fast.

I got alot more than just a arms done and it cost me $120. 4 a arms, 2 spindles, and my bumper

Truck bedliner they come in different colors.

I Line-X'd my a-arms, hand guards, and ski loops. The stuff is tuff and looks good too.

I did my A arms with farm implement paint since its made to be abused.

Bed liner I think I'm going to give that a try. Maybe next season. Its a little to close to snowtime to be tearing it apart.

im doing mine in a couple weeks with bedliner never had much luck with paint.

I found a powder coat guy here in Sudbury, Ont who specialize in sled parts etc....$180 bones to do 4 a-arms, 2 spindles and the steering things attached to spindles. Bed liner would be nice if they made it in red. My sled is red so I want the front end done the same way.
