Does anyone know part number for the nytro rear shock or list price?
I want one for my vector or the ohlins depends on price difference.

I would suggest calling Pioneer Motor Sports. I guess they are the shock Guru's of our area!

I bought the Ohlin from Bruce at Pioneer. It just came in and is a beautiful shock as expected. It has 12 clicks and you can feel the difference between each click while bench testing it.

Bruce also rebuild my center shock and changed the valving for more rebound dampening. There is a noticeable difference in extenion time from the stock setting which is exactly what I wanted.

Together these two shocks should solve the excessive rebounding of the skid... I can't wait for the season to arrive!

Oh yeah, if you Google for Pioneer, you will get a dealership on Long Island... Bruce's website is:

www.pioneerperformance.net

The "dot net" thing will kill you everytime!

And, I'm not an agent of Pioneer... I just am a happy customer who was treated right... Bruce takes the time to discuss your shock needs which, unfortunately, is a rare occurrance in business these days...

HOW MUCH FOR THE OHLINS SHOCK AND THE REVALVE?
DO YOU NEED TO TAKE THE REAR SKID OUT TO GET AT THE SHOCKS ?

Yeah I would like to know the cost also. Sounds like exactly what I want to do too. The rear skid comes out of these really easy if you compress the suspension with tie downs.

Rear Nytro Damper P/N: 8GF-47480-00-00
No price yet...

I just bought athe same rear shock from a memebr on herer he ran it all last year he also purchased it from bruce. Now I just need to send in my center shock.

I saw the nytro shock on 06 parts list thats to much cash.
I am going to buy the ohlins from bruce just thought the nytro one might be a little cheaper as its oem.

Check Pioneer's website for pricing. I'm looking into it also. You can also order the Ohlins rear shock right from Yamaha's accessory catalog for 429.95. I think it's about 20.00 cheaper through Pioneer and he can revalve the stock center shock also. A Kayaba was quite a bit more.

It sounds to me that this would do the trick better than making the rear springs so stiff that it rides like crap. I love the ride, it's just that occasional sucker bump that I wasn't expecting that gets to me.

I also almost colapsed my spine and wasnt sure I was going to walk again. That was after I removed the adjustible spring tensioner. I quickly put it back in into the front hole. I would rather have a little kick than to have that happen again. Im thinking they could be removed again with the new Ohlins shock, would give it a little more travel.

Just received mine from Highlands Yamaha today. Has 20 clicks and was 386.96 . Going to try the valving it came with, there is quite a difference from full soft to full hard. Be nice to be able to trust the rear suspension and not have the kick. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
