What type of performance mods are out there for the 4 strokes? Exhaust, cams, fuel mapping, ecp. (etc.), besides turbos and superchargers. Looking for some smaller mods until I can afford a SC or turbo. What performance shops carry these? What are ecp's? I jumped from my piped viper to apex mtn. and the only thing I know about 4 strokes is what I learned from autos, and that is not alot!!!

The best mods to do (without forced induction) are ones that take weight off. Light weight exhaust, battery (YTZ7S), front end parts, seat, etc. Any cams that you install will need to be removed if you ad boost.
EPC's are clamp on air filters, which will not work on the Apex because the air box is part of the hood. Plus they are not what they are cracked up to be. The intake system is tuned to run through an air box for best throttle response and ridability. The only thing you gain is top end airflow.

A good bet would be to get some lightweight parts. Less vehicle mass equals better acceleration and (more importantly) a better handling sled through a lower moment of inertia.
There are some good clutch kits out there but there are just as many that are overpriced crap.
Also, make the sled fit you better. Cheap mods that position the rider better or allow for better physical control are things you can feel every second that you ride (handlebar risers, foot grips, etc). You would be surprised what a difference $200 can make.
BUT, by far the best thing you can do is paint flames on the hood. Everyone will be like "Hey, is that guy on fire?"
