Anybody done anything to increase their performance in a Phazer, except adding a turbo or SC?

Can anybody show some REAL WORLD performance gain in adding any types of pipes? Not 'I got 200 more RPM'

Anything else that has shown to work?

Thanks, Ole Bull :4STroke:

You know where. It was sold. Don't want to play with a turbo on the Phazer right now. Looking to sell it, or to do some minor modifications required.

Have seen some sleds with different Exhaust setups, but they are all WAY to loud for what I like. Stupidest thing I know is to put a can on a 2-stroke to make it sound mean, while all you do iss piss people off with your wannabe sled. Think this is what most of the pipes for the Phazer is doing.. :o| More sound and LESS hp...not the way you want to go...

I know I maybe loose some power with the stock MCX exhaust, but still I have got some comments about the sound level when climbing mountains at full throttle. It is not excactly totally silent :tg:
But it's a different noise, maybe more pleasant to the human ear than the yelling screaming open muffler two-strokes.

I have excell exhaust, nos, and clutching. As you said though, no 'real' results.

Teerex: I know about the sound of the Turbo sled. But in my disturbed mind, the sound of a perfomance article like the a turbo is.

Monker: I know Nos makes power, but you haven't dyno'd the sled with the Exhaust? You're a pretty good tuner, so can you honestly say you could 'feel' any performance gains with it?

Obr, the apex mountain turbo that you earlier owned will soon be for sale. The guy who ownes it now are thinking of buying a nytro rtx. He have found out that its to much with two turbo yamaha's :flag:

Spoke with him to day and he told me about this and that he would keep his rx-1 warrior because of all the money and work he have done on this sled. Tough, he have some more job to do on this sled. Low compression on two cyl... Before this happened he had it dynoed at mc-x. If I dont remember wrong the numbers was 426hp (peak) with high preassure and nos ;)!

Also, I bought the "full flow" muffler from speedtech but I went back stock after half an our, way way to loud. But It was better throttle response with this pipe on down low but it didnt make a big difference and I dont miss it at all (maybe the sound that fouled me....). All manufactores of custom pipes for the phazer seems to claim 3hp gains but I really cant see that this kind of hp gains can make any difference.. Just my toughts.

I never ran the stock exhaust so I can't comment on any feel. The only other phazer that I rode with all winter had the same exhaust so there wasn't a comparison there either. It is quite a bit lighter which makes a differance also.

I see some people are running the SupperTrap exhaust. It is tuneable with disks. I havent decided yet.

Is there any heads, cam's, pistons, exhaust, etc? I was hoping to get about 95-100 hp in trailable form.

I thought for sure there would be a lot more options for HP besides Turbo and Super chargers!

I think 160 hp per liter 4-storke engine is pretty good. Yamaha have done theyr job pretty well on this engine so there is probebly not so much more hokus pokus to do to get more hp without adding turbo/supercharger. This engine have more power than the apex in volume/hp ratio. And you dont find so many working "hp-kits" for the apex either rather than turbo/supercharger.

Hauck claim to add 12hp with this kit so why dont you buy this: http://www.hauckpowersportsinc.com/page ... e-kit.aspx

or use your money on the new fx nytro.

get a hold of big d his phazer dynoed at 91hp with hauck dual exhaust intake kit and fuel acclerator.

Check out ulmer racing he is working on some products.

I sent an email to fundy powersports and this is it quoted to you.

Hi I have a 2007 Phazer Mtn lite and was wondering what you have for it in a motor kit and what kind of hp are you getting also do you have a clutch kit for it as im debating motor work or a MCXpress turbo kit and if i went with a turbo kit could you make a clutch kit for me for flatland use and the sled with turbo will be 140hp on pump supreme gas.
Thanks Roger

Hi Rodger, sorry for the late reply, it's been just crazy here. We are working on an engine kit for the Phazer but just haven't had much time to put into it. We will get it down before Fall and expect to be in the 110 to 120HP range with our basic setup. We will be doing a clutch kit to work with our engine kit as well.
We probably won't play with the Turbos much on the Phazer (Turbo's make great lake sleds but the throttle response doesn't make them much fun on the trails and I don't think the Phazer will ever be a lake sled.
If you want, check back later in the year and we'll let you know what we have done.
Thanks,
Ray

so thay will have something in the future i would say and here is a link to there site http://www.fundyperformance.com/
cheers Roger

Sniper: I think I saw it for sale on Autodb, 150NOK, Right?
Very nice sled indeed...LOL :4STroke:

Pro: that sounds good, can't wait until Allen gets things working...

And Fundy....N/A Phazer with 110/20 hp...who would need a Nytro?

Perhaps we just have to wait until fall to see if anything comes up....
