ph gt with handguards

does anyone have handguards on their gt with stock windsheild on.my wife wants handguards but dont want to lose her windsheild and dont want to switch to the lower one.not sure if they would fit and how it would look

I just installed the white Power Madd hand guards with mirrors on the Mtn Lite. I also have the low black shield on. I think they look good. The mirrors vibrate a fair bit but serve the function for which I was looking for. To see if someone is behind me. Everything was good until I went to put the cover back on. Couldn't get the cover on with the mirrors on and just got it on when I took the mirrors off. Not happy about that but what can you do. How well does the cover on the FX fit with the handguards?

Handguards will fit, I have an FX with the tall windscreen option. Just in from testing. Basically the same as the GT windshield but a bit taller.
But the windshield makes the function of the handguard somewhat obsolete.

The handguards will fit but I'm not exactly sure why your wife wants them as the windshield already covers that area.

For what it's worth, here's a pic of my wife's FX with the tall windshield and handguards. The windshield moves with the handlebars so there's no interference issue.

The tall windshield was excellent when cruising long distance in cold temperatures. My eyes just see above it when I sit upright.
But I will ofcourse remove it when it gets warmer and my turbo arrive ;-)
