I found these pics on HCS and I figured that I would share them with you all. You can see the low windshield. I dont know about anyone else, but I think Yamaha should make the windshield standard on all the Phazers (along with the knee wind deflectors).

That looks MUCH better than the plexifairing but in a blue chrome with a big white Yamaha logo on the front would be even cooler!
The overall shape looks like it could use some sprucing up as well but overall it's a big improvement.

Frosty

Amen to that, Timebomb. I love the Phazer. People can say that the Phazer is an overpriced, heavy turd, but there will be a Phazer in my garage sometime soon.

I think they will too. I found a quote on MaximumSled.com that I think says it well, "Back in 1984 Yamaha took a chance on a sled design that would ultimately propel it to the number one market position. That sled was the Phazer. It was potent for the day, lightweight and looked about as futuristic as could be. In 2007, Yamaha is taking an equally large chance on a sled design that is potent, lightweight and styled like no other sled on the market. It is also called the Phazer."

The Phazer FX comes with that windshield standard the Phazer GT comes with a big windshield standard. The dealers I talked to at the MI show said they rode it and the wind protection was actually very good.

The FX is really growing on me. It would be nice to try one out before buying one. I'm sure they would be allot of fun. Nice to know that there is a standard shield for the FX. Looks cool without but it would have very little trail use. Would be nice to have a shield that could be removed very easily so that you could pull off the trail, take the shield off, jump, then put it back on and trail ride???

Thats good to hear. In all of the pics on Yamaha-Motor.com the only ones that are shown with a windshield are the Venture Lite and Phazer GT.
I couldnt imagine trying to ride that sled when its 0 F out with no windshield. (imagine trying to ride the standard model when its that cold out with no windshield and no handguards! Brrrrrrrrrr!)

Throw some fox floats on it loose the windsheild ripsaw track im sold.
I think for '08 you might see a Phazer RTX with Floats on it. Too many people are pointing out that the Rev 550 is lighter than the Phazer. I could see Yamaha offering an RTX model with no reverse and Float shocks to try to get the weight as low as possible.

The phazer "ready to ride weight" is less then the Rev 550.....around 26lbs
