I was at my local dealer and looking over the new Phazers and the salesman showed me how they just turned the mounting bracket upside-down(?) and remounted the gauge so it sits below the bars. Looked good, cheap trick!

It's still in front of the bars, but is more protected than where it was before.

Cost=$0 Gotta like that.

any pic's of it?

No pics

Sorry, no pics. It's just the original metal mounting bracket flipped upside down. From what the guy said it was very simple to do. Looked good!

I did that trick to my phazer a month ago. Also I didn't like the way it was bent down so I rebent the bracket and powder coated it. I will have pics up soon( 1-5 days) I am almost done finishing up some mods. You guys are gonna love it.

Here's the pics of how it looks, i did this to mine a while ago as well. I didn't bend the bracket at all.

It's at the perfect ablge to view while standing. However I can't hardly see it while sitting, but here in the mountains 90% of my riding is done standing up so it shouldn't be a problem.

There may be an issue with the windshield mounting bracket. I don't plan on running with a windshield so this shouldn't be an issue. But it looks to me as if flipping that bracket around may interfere with the factory windshield mount.

I found that also the winshield mount wont work so I came up with a nice new custom solution, pics will be up soon. I bent the bracket so it would be more viewable while sitting. I am a standup rider anyway but I like to tweak with things.
