have you taken your hood off yet? was it a pita to reinstall? i found the culprit on mine. after installing the rad guard i could not get the hood back on to save my life (spent 45min trying). the culprit was the inner structure of the hood not clearing the guard. 15min a dremel tool to carefully! trim the excess away and the problem was solved. fyi the black plastic of the inner structure if glass or fiber filled. look at the upper mode louver in the grill and you will see the area in question.
