Was going to do it this winter, but things didnt work out... gonna buy a phazer in the fall, looking at an fx.... maybe stretching to a 136.... had a thought, why not just buy a mtn phazer? any ideas on this for michigan riding?

heck yea bud, much better idea than the fx. This is where I go with the Mtn Lite

It's O.K.. the 144 is comfy on the straghts. In the corners there is definately some push. I have a GPS mounted on the handlebars and approximately 65 mph is all I can get out of it on a trail. The best upgrade I did for my MTX is put RTX torsion springs in the rear skid. What an amazing difference. The stock MTX springs are just way too soft. If you like to make your own fun this is the sled. Only down side to owning it is if conditions get hard with all of our thawing and freezing. There have been a few times this year that I had to leave the MTX in the garage because I figured I'd fry the slides. But I just got back from 5 days in Grand Marais and the off trail riding was amazingly good and made owning it all worthwhile. If you buy a MTX I think you'll be shocked how much you'll ride it and leave that Attak in the garage.

the phazer mtx is a nice sled, on or off, if you adjust the suspension just right it will be nice on the trails, and still as good off.
