Found a Vector GT in Blue @ a used sled/cycle dealership.
It is being sold as a 2006.
It is in the Apex type,DB II chassis.
I'm thinking it was a prototype sled.
1400 miles Good price 6200.
Kinda excited.
Any worries buying a prototype???

I'm surprised to see a 06 proto for a sled they didn't come out with until 08. Are you sure they didn't drop a Vector motor in an Apex?

In another forum one comment said that this was a mock up, not a prototype.
As far as the 06, could it be they were working on the DBII Vector in 06....wouldn't be that far off?

The prototype would be cool but who fixes it if you don't. Isn't 6200 a little much for an '06 with 1400 miles on it?

Somebody likely put it together. I'd be very surprised if Yamaha let any of their prototypes get out to the public.

6200 would be a little much for an 06 vector, but this is ,.....an 08 vector GT built in 06.
I guess I asked myself where can I get the latest tech from Yammie , right now, for some 3200 below list???
A year from now it will blend in with all the other 08's being delivered this fall. But its new to me and broke -in to boot.LOL
hope all the reviews of this sled are true, should be a good all around trail sled.
