I just bought my new 2008 apex ltx.Will be picking it up sometime next week.I got an extra 3 year warranty thrown in and with the 500 yamaha bucks I paid 12,400CDN.I can't wait to ride this thing as I never rode an apex before.I'm excited coming off a 05 modded 900 fuze.Are there any mods I should do or should I break it in first?

Congratulations. I would say, ride it, break it in and see what you think. I've only made a few changes to mine to help in the handling department. The power is enough for me.

I to came off a 900 fusion and i remember you from HCS in the fusion section, you wont need any mods these things are soooo fricken quick its scary!! i have a 07 attak gt and i love it!! i still have my fuze and it is collecting dust! welcome!!

I just got a 08 ltx too, put about 500 miles so far and just brought her for the first check up. I TOO came off a fusion 900 ( 144 ) the APex sled is better! more power 4 shure. + they having massive recalls on fusion's right now!

Wife just picked up her LTX GT yesterday. We put about 30 miles on it. She likes it, but is still getting used to the riding style and how responsive it is.

I rode it for about a mile and it sure does ride smooth and different than my 07 RTX

Hey fellow Fusion guys. I too came off a Fusion.
I have an '07 Attak. I did all the recommended updates.
Pioneer shock upgrade, ski doo wheels, USI X2 skis, skid plate.
The sled is sweeeet. Did my first ride last weekend.
The sled performed well/great in all areas. Deep snow riding, nasty moguls, typical rough trails, and high speed runs.
And the 14-15 mpg and 87 octane is nice too.
The only other thing I might do next is install the mid height windshield.

The Fusion is still in the family. It's clutched and geared.
I should get a chance to race it soon.

i'm ridin the 07 attak. a few mods i would suggest:
ski upgrade, & shock re-valve.
huge diffrence.
if your 6 ft the rox riser not a bad thing either.
i'm sure the windshield the new ltx comes with is the "taller" mid windshield that all us 06/07 riders are changing to.

Im already getting called on by a guy who rides a 07 800 crossfire.Hre said that my apex will get walked by him and that he already walks the 07 attack.I don't really see that happening unless he has mods.

The attaks have a huge performance improvement at around 1000 miles. Both my 06 & 07 gained a lot of lengths & rpm,s after they hit that magical 1000 mile mark.
