Is there some sort of special connections to connect those leads to a battery charger? Looks like something slides into them. Thanks for the help.

You could probably fab. something together with a few nuts and bolt, but I simply take the charger clips and "clip" them to the leads. While it stays rather loose, they will make a good enough connection to charge the battery overnight.
