I bought my sled with turbo on it need to get intercooler off what is the process? Do I need to remove rad or steering stem? Not sure how to get at clamps in intercooler at intake? Thanks in advance
Chris if I recall you need to remove the steering post from the clamp at the top so it will move out of the way. Then remove the radiator to access the top of the IC. The clamps then need to be removed and the bracket at the front and the two rubber mounted ones on the sides.

Thanks thats what it looked like to me. Have you ever retorqued your cylinder head bolts? What type of oil are you running? Thanks

remove steering post, remove radiator bolts then you can move the radiator around enough to get to the clamps on the intercooler. Still is tight but it can be done. I used the ones with the big tabs on mine so I could take them off by hand. Not sure If that was the right way, but it is what I did.

No on re torque and I am running the yamaha full synthetic
If you do the head the way yamaha says to do it No re torque should be necessary as I understand it.

Retorquing is not necesary and can be very harmfull. After a rebuild it is a good idea to re-check torque after running the engine through a couple heat cycles, but once the head bolt are torqued and achieve proper stretch, you could do more harm than good by torquing on them again.
