If you took off your drive belt (between the primary and secondary) on a boosted sled and rev up the engine will it build boost?

I'm sure it'll build boost but for it to be accurate you need to have everything up to temp and you have to have a load on the engine, any fluctuation in the engine rpm or the load on the engine will change boost levels.

Been there tried that, don't waste your time trying to check boost without a load.

Thanks for the info guys
Agree, you won't build much boost if any. I don't see my boost gauge running much more then a couple pounds cruising under load
