Question on Ohlin Electric Shock

I recently purchased a Ohlin electric shock upgrade kit for my Apex ER. I was looking at it and the little rubber seal that goes in the connector with the boot over it (connector closest to the shock) fell out on the floor and I didn't notice what way it was in the connector. This little rubber washer has a flat side and the other side has sealing ribs on it. My question is does the flat side or the sealing rib side go toward the back of the connector housing.Or another way to ask the question is if I look into the black connector should the ribs face back at me or toward the well of the connector. Hope you all understand the question. If anyone has this apart please let me know of even better send a picture so I get it back in correctly. Thks.

Flat side goes towards the shock side.
Take a look at the headlamp bulb on your car. It has the same seal.
