After many hours of trimming, bending and drilling, I have finally completed my rack install on my Attak.
This is a factory Doo rack which has an optional luggage basket. I have shortened the side rails so there is only about 3 inches of front to rear movement. The rack is also re-inforced to prevent twisting of the rails which used to happen on the Doo with hard landings.
In these pix, the knobs are missing as I making some last minute changes, but you get the idea.
It would have been alot easier if Yamaha had made a true one-up touring sled to begin with!!

Looks good! How much for the Doo hardware?
In last year's Doo catalog, the backrest was $100.97. P/N 861758700. The luggage basket is extra, but I don't see it in the catalog. A good dealer can find it.
However, this is far from bolt-on, so be prepared to do some mods to make it fit, including trimming the seat along the tunnel.
