I am trying to find a company that is fabricating a rail and tunnel extention kit for the new challenger extreme 174 to fit an 07 Apex mountain.

I thought that track was on hold for now? Eric
I e-mailed trks usa about this track he sent me prices (15" - $695.00 / 16" - $725.00) they will get back to me about est. date for availability. he also said they will have available rail ext. but not tunnel ext. this is why i was looking for a company that will fab and sell the whole ext. pkg. Mt. Perf said that they are not fabing these products at this time.

I just installed one. With the stock tunnel. The track is more or less directly below the bumper. So I will live with it as is. My flap is cut and may need some more cut off. I should find out tomorrow.
So depending on your preference, you wouldn't need a tunnel extension.

Thanks for this info . if you dont mind me asking what all have you done to your sled to insure it will turn this track with no problem in all types of snow? i have had a few people pose concern that it might be too much track for the apex to handle. i myself think an apex with boost will handle it just fine. also, what rail extentions did you go with?PwdrNut said:I just installed one. couple years ago I installed a 151 on a stock 141 MM tunnle. Worked fine, So the 174 on the apex might just work ok also. Eric

Anything over 150 HP at elevation will turn this track easy, so a boosted Apex at 200+ HP or in my case, 300+ HP will turn this track like it is a 136X15X1.75 on my first sled, a 2000 Polaris 700!!!

do you have any pics? would REALLY like to see this.
so we know we can get the track and the rail extentions but the question still remains does anyone fab the tunnel ext. i think for a nice fit and finish i would like to install a tunnel ext. (to complete the look) spec. sleds & mt. perf said they are not fabing the tunnel ext. at this time. i should go into production myself $$$

Sorry. I missed this thread for some reason.
The sled is boosted, so it turns the track fine.
I have the skid out at the moment, so I won't be able to get pictures until I put it back in (Friday at latest).
The track is on an RX-1 with an Apex tunnel. The drivers are factory Apex drivers. I haven't changed to the Apex rails so my extensions don't relate, as well as the skid is moved back so the size would be different anyway.
I'll be doing an Apex soon, but we're moving that skid back as well, so once again, extensions won't relate to stock.
I'll post pictures Thursday. Out of town till then.

Re: Pictures
What length of rails did you use?

They are the stock 151 rails moved back with 8.8" extensions. I believe MPI has extension in stock for Apex rails in the normal position. I posted the pictures so people could see the location of the rear of the track in comparison to the tunnel (as that would be the same on an Apex)
