I am in the process of installing a rear heat exchanger on a 2005 RX-1 Warrior. I am having trouble getting the rear coolant cross over tube out of the sled. I have extended the hole on the side of the tunnel to get the curved piece of the cross over tube through. There are 2 pieces of square aluminum as braces that seem to be holding me up. Do I have to drill out the rivets that hold these aluminum braces in place so I can lower them to remove the cross over tube?
If I drill out these rivets that hold the square aluminum it looks like I would have to remove the exhaust system??
Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, drill the rivits.
I forget if it is every one, so look from the back if you can

I will drill the rivits. Do I have to remove the exhaust? Which also means the gas tank as the bolts for the exhaust are under the gas tank?
Thanks for the help.

As I remember, what I did was unbolt the rear only of the exhaust and prop it up with a wood block. But this was 2 years ago on Delta 1 sleds and I may not be remembering everything.

Wait, you will need to cut those aluminum bars off for the heat exchanger clearance anyway, no need to drill the rivots for those square tubes. Don't need to remove the exhaust, either.
I just installed a rear exchanger on my 04 Warrior a couple weeks ago.

Thanks for the replys. I did take off the gas tank and the exhaust but it was a good learning experience. I have my sons 2004 Warrior to do also so I will save some time on that one. The rear heat exchanger is not that bad of an installation once you know what you need to do.
Thank you everyone for all your help.............
