Well I put about 100 miles on the apex today ( 160 miles total since I bought it. I'm really liking it, except for the rear suspension. The float is hard to explain to me. Good at high speeds , but that's about it.. if it's too low on air, it bottoms out, too much air, and its super stiff.. gonna have to mess around with it some more. It's currently at 160 psi and I'm about 235 lbs geared up

The other thing I've been reading is to try adjusting the transfer rods and limiter straps... I'd love to get a better hole shot, as well as traction , and maybe a bit of ski lift as of now it's like a tank up front ..

It has a ice ripper track , that is nice, but with what seems to be no weight transfer, it seems to spin alot more than I would like and the front never come up, it's very planted.

I've never adjusted straps, or transfer rods, so I'm going into this one a lil in the dark and am looking for some suggestions/how tos on the subject. I guess the main goal is better traction/transfer. The sled is running snow trackers , so I would assume I can definitely take some weight off the front , without having to worry about the skis pushing?

Thanks in advance!

For hole shot, and some ski lift you should run transfer at almost max. Limiter strap should be in the second set of holes from full out works best for me. I don't have the SE, but others will chime in on the ideal PSI for you.
You may need a shock service and/or valve stack refinement for your weight etc.
Try one thing at a time if you can, so you know what works and what doesn't.
I find it takes pretty much an entire season of riding in various conditions to get a new to you sled dialed in the way you like.
Also, with Snowtrackers, very important to have zero toe in/out.
Cheers.

To set the correct amount of air on 2011 Apex se.... set the air preload to compress the shock to 32-38mm sag when sitting on the sled . I put a zip tie around the "shaft" of the shock...lifted the sled up with the suspension off the ground and pushed the zip tie to the top of the shock. Put all my gear on and sat on it. Then jacked it back up and measured the distance the tie moved on the shaft...set the air to get the 35mm sag. 150psi for me 220lbs with gear. The air is just for preload just like the spring on a normal shock. If it is still too soft or firm with the correct sag get the shock revalved .
