Not sure about the US... but I know in Canada we can have custom registration numbers made for our sleds... just wondering where some people have placed their numbers (and registration stickers). I will be getting a set made up in the near future and am still not decided on where I want to put them exactly.
I am leaning towards putting them on the back half of the tunnel somewhere (although they will likely be covered with ice and snow most of the time... hahaha).
Anyone have any pics?
Thanks for any advice.

Check the law first. Ontario is very clear on how and where you can place your number. I have not had any problems with the police stopping me.

Here in the peoples republic of NY, registration sticker are required on the front of sled either hood or belly pan. It is a 3x5 sticker with yearly decal in the corner. I placed mine on side panel of my Nytro below the number decal using a sled solution registation mounting plate. Worked out nice.

I just cut out the numbers that the licence bureau gave me and used them. I mounted them over top of the Yamalube sticker on my Nytro.

Kinda a poor picture of it but I have always put my reg numbers on a small aluminium plate and pop riveted that to the sled. On the wifes Fusion I put them ont he side panel but I couldn't bring my self to do that to the Nytro so I put them on the tunnel. Works quite well.

Bamboo, who makes the two up seat on the Nytro in the pic?? Hows it work??? I always loved that feature on my REV but when I got rid of it and bought the Fusion I ended up buying her a 94 Indy sport so she could go with . Now I have the Nytro and wifey got my old machine so she can still go but sometimes I think she still would rather ride with then drive. Catch 22

I also put mine right where the yamaha sticker used to be... seems to work for me.

i was way too lazy to bother cutting out the numbers so i just stuck it on the rear of the tunnel around the update bracket for the tunnel.

good looking sled, i will keep my eye out for it on the trails as i'm not too far and ppsc/ganaraska are the closest clubs to me. :pics:

We have a licence plate here in saskatchewan... they want us to mount it on the sled... I can't remember where but mine will ride in the tool bag in the nose I figure...

I had someone locally vinyl cut the registration numbers and placed them down the side. I placed the license sticker just above on the left side.

This sled was register last year 999995 and was told this is the highest number possible in Ontario as they have changed or started over.

reg

I've been pondering this myself. luckily maine is just a small 2"x1" square.
i was thinking either lower corner of windshield like my srx, or the back of the tunnel...by the reflector...

Thanks for the suggestions guys... I think I'm still going to put them on the tunnel by the update bracket or the reflector. I do like the location where DeerHuntr placed his. I think I'll get them made wwith some reflecive vinyl.

Happy riding guys!

My cousin just bought a sled and the registration numbers now contain letters as well. I wonder if we can start getting personalized licence numbers soon? That would be awesome! Plus, another cash grab for the govt.

I always put my registration stickers on the hood, in clear view for the dnr. Even if it totally clashes...which it does cause they are bright orange. I dont need to give the dnr a reason to stop me and talk to me (which is very important if anyone is running a modified exhaust). I also never put any trail passes on the windshield simply because if I roll and grenade the windshield I dont want to buy another trail pass...and a broken piece of windshield with a sticker on it doesn't count (so I was told by the dnr).
