Registration Sticker

Where does everyone put there registration sticker on the Apex? I wasn't sure if it would stick to the lower front half of the sled because of the rough texture panels.

I put them on the lower half without any problems. Just make sure they are clean and dry.

I had lost both of mine off my 08 so when I got replacements I bought some spray adhesive and put a little on each one they went on and stayed on.
I did the same thing to my XTX and so far so good!

they can and do come off if not installed right use a hair dryer or heat gun be sure plastic is cleand dry and free of residue. best to have panel and sticker warm. some put then on the tank plastic i think dnr may complain if you do that id rather not give them a reason to sotp me and waste my time.

Thanks for the replies! Cleaned, warmed, and stuck on lower half of sled. Now I'll wait for snow to see if they stay on.

sticker fix

Had problems with mine coming off too, heard a tip about using clear nail polish around the edges of the sticker that sealed the sticker to the textured side panel, put on a few coats for good measure and never had anymore issues with the sticker coming off...use this fix on all the graphics that have started to peal off

I put mine on the top removable cowling. There is a spot that the sticker fits perfectly and won.t ever come off.

I got some alum and cut it down , The alum was 3/4in bigger than the sticker so it had a border around it and I had a place to rivet it to the side or you could bolt it to

They don't seem to want to stick to well. I'll try the aluminum plate riveted to the lower half for the sticker. I'll probably powdercoat the plate black to match the panel. thanks!!

I have placed mine on the lower side panels since the old 97 sx. Never a problem if its clean and you use the hair dryer. Warm the side panel, then warm the sticker and place it carefully on without any wrinkles. Keep blowing over the sticker and it will stay on. 14 years of this on 6 or 7 sleds and never lost one. Placing the registration on the tank cowl is not legal in Mich., must be on the forward half of the sled, clearly visible to the DNR.

I put mine on the tunnel, just behind where my leg is, so it is viewable from either side when I am riding. It sticks better there than on the side plastic.

One of our riders made a plate similar to 09 Nytro and it worked good for him too. He just drilled a few holes and threw some rivets in it.

On my sled I just have a piece of plexiglass with small screws attached to panel under removable side panel. Cheap and sticker stays on plexiglass
