Have the duraflex cable ice scracthers on an new-to-me transporter lite I just picked up. They no longer put downward pressure on the ground, seemingly from being stowed for too long. Is this a common issue with them? Any way to get that bend back for downward pressure or do they need to be replaced?

I would loosen them and turn them down until good resistance. I've never seen them loose function.

Mine would do that just loading it in the truck and driving 30 min to the trail, then anything over 60 mph they would do 360's and scratch and dent my tunnel, go with doo scratchrs

I never got a whole season out of a pair of cable scratchers. The aforementioned doo scratchers are all I use now.

WE just put on 2,000 miles this season with the cable scratchers. DuoFast brand. Still good. We leave them down 24/7. In and out of trailer etc. I tried cheaper Amazon ones and they are good but don't have quite the pressure being a bit thinner but they are near 1/2 the price and stainless steel. But they work.

I've found from personal experience and also what I've seen on many other sleds that the cable scratchers just don't last. In addition, they often cause damage to the rails or running boards.

There is sometimes a small amount of customization required, but the tunnel mounted Doo scratchers are the best out there IMO

I recently mounted a set on an XTX Nytro.

Again I have no issues mentioned above. Used them for years. Put 2k this year alone. I have a eyelet that I hang them on. Wife run's the same. Backup as much as you want. In and out of trailer. Down all the time. No issues.
