Took a long good trip other than a few sled issues from Eagle River to Copper Harbor last week. There were 8 of us that left on Wednesday morning and returned on Friday. Two of us rode Nytro's, 2 ski doos, and 4 Polaris'. The trails were great all way up and back until we got back close to Eagle River, WI. on Friday. As for how the sleds were the only problems were with the Nytros. I took my sled in on Tuesday to get new Hy-fax. When we got to the dealership my sled wouldn't start so I told them I needed a new Starter relay. So I pick my sled up on Wednesday and they tell me it wasn't the starter relay it was just some corrosion on some wires. The group of us took off on Wednesday and rode up to Houghton and stayed the night there. I go to start my sled and nothing. I knew right away it was the relay I had told the dealer to fix. So I had to jump the relays pretty much everytime i shut it off from there on out which was a pain in the a*$. Thursday we rode from Houghton up to Copper Harbor and back down to Twin Lakes. The other Nytro had some issues on the way up to Copper Harbor. His sled backfired and it died on the way up. We got it started and he rode it for another 3-5 miles and it died again. This time it wouldn't start at all. We had to tow it back to the nearest rode and have a local pull it back to Houghton and get it fixed at the dealership there. The dealership said they replaced a relay that had gotten moisture in it. We picked the sled back up on Friday and headed back to Eagle River. We got back with a total of 525 miles. It was a great trip other than the Nytro's really letting us down. They def. did not make a good impression on the other riders with us and it was rather frustrating for the two of us. Hopefully Yamaha will do something about the issues with the relays on these sleds.

It seems these relays are a major problem for anyone going on a long trip...they can get u in a lot of trouble, especially if u r travelling by yourself...u would almost need to carry a spare with u...and then u would have to figure out which one is giving you trouble...dont know how much they cost but was just wondering if there is somewhere you can get these other than a dealer...we all know how overpriced items are from them...any info would be appreciated

You guys are making me worry about mine I leave next week for hurley trip. Where is the relay located that has problems? Pics be great
