just got an 09 xtx and someone told me if you roll them then all the oil leaks out. is this true? does it matter which side you roll it too? what can i do to stop this?

Yes, oil will leak out the oil tank breather tube.

You can buy a tether with a roll over valve that shuts off the sled and closes a valve in the tube to stop the oil from leaking out into the air box.

I am very happy with mine.

It's also a pretty quick and painless install. The guys at OFT Racing sell them with step by step directions and pictures. I've put mine on it's side a few times, and I like having the kill switch. Added peace of mind...

I roll my sled a lot, 2 winters ago I would always keep at least a half quart of oil in the nose and almost always use it plus add some before the next trip. Last winter In 1500 mountain miles with OFT's kit I added oil one time all season.

If just the ROV is not a good enough reason every sled should have a tether and it should be used!!!

OFT's roll over/tether kit is the way to go. Service and Quality are a match with those guys.

Agreed.

x2 on the OFT kit. Its a great setup, and the pro armor tether is sooo much better than regular tethers.

FYI, If you have a turbo on your sled the valve goes on another hose than the one in the installation instructions..
