I have an 08 Phazer RTX with a 1.5" Freeride......Love the sled.

I've noticed that even with the taller lug track, the tremendous torque this little motor makes, will still spin the track. Wondering if moving up one gear size would help even this out....maybe give a little more top end?

Anyone tried this?

Are you running on ice? :-) Dont know for sure but I think this rtx has the same gearing (18/41) as on the fx I had last year. I tryed the gt's (20/41) hoping it would give more top end but it didnt. This mod lowered the top end on my sled.

Btw, I did also run the 1,5" freeride track but I also had a ulmer clutch kit on.

Good to know SniperViper.......I mostly run hardpack trails.....just thought I might get equal hookup (or less spin) and then gain a bit of top end.

Thanks. ;)!

My top end got much better after I got the 20 tooth top gear. I wonder if it had anything to do with the turbo ? :tg:

More likely because downhillriding from 3000ft to sea level in a angle of 80deg and throttle fully open :jump:

The GT gearing will only help the top end on HARDpack or ice and only if the RPM is still below 11750 at WOT.

Otherwise nadda.

But there are no sea level near the swedish mountains..

Anyway, who got snow ? I hear they have a lot of snow in some parts of Russia right now. Maybe moving over there if nothing happens soon :tg:

Hope I didn't ruin this thread now ?

there is a whole lot of water between me and you :tg:
I did not even realize there was a place called mexico in new york.

"Mexico is a town in Oswego County, New York, United States. The population was 5,181 at the 2000 census." Not the biggest town around then but that is probably an advantage for snowgoers.

hmm I don't see any snow in your town ??? Extremely detailed pictures though ;)!
Is that huge lake nearby freezing ? You can drive straight across to Canada then ?
