500 miles on the rtx and 1100 on the attack(both sleds stock),very strange this is in 6-7 inches powder and my RTX hooks up so good and crushes my bro's attack and he beats me in the hard pack,i would think this should be the opposite being he has the 136....across the lake i was playing catch up to him and a 800p-t but got them both before the end....i also noticed i get e batter holeshot when i have the transfer turned down to standard or below in hard pack,i just blow the track if u even try to launch hard,my conclusion the RTX needs studs bad!!!!as far as going down 1 gear on RTX,i would the attack is right there with me across the lake so cant i see where it would make a diff....

I have my transfer rod set at max all the time
with 144 studs..

It lonches like a jet ski coming out of the water.. LOL So hard its impossible to steer..

So did you beat the attak,it sounds like you beat him out of the hole, but than you said you were playing catch up and ran him down,if you were studded,do you feel on hard pack that you could peddle right on past?

In deep snow the short track is generating more track speed because it has less mass to spin.

On hard pack the mass isn't a issue and the Larger foot print of the 136 rockets the attack out of the hole better.

if i had studs it would definately help no doubt in the hard pack,i would go buy him sooner in the run.....studs and a gear reduction on the rtx is a must.. ;)!

mnmsnowbeast,in fresh 6-7 inches i can beat the attack, but in hard pack your playing catch up i dont care what sled u have ;)!

STOCK ATTAK KILLED AN APEX ER AND APEX GT ON ICE W/ LITTLE SNOW IN A 1000 FT. RACE BY 3 SLED LENGTHS WASN'T EVEN CLOSE FROM START TO FINISH, RACED 1/2 MILE STRETCH AND TOOK THEM BY EVEN MORE, WHEN THOSE ATTAK'S HOOK-UP WATCH OUT

gearing i so correct, and the attacks arent any slower than the RTX'S on top end ;)!

Well i had a preety good going attak that would run 114 gps on very hard pack snow, and my boys all stock rts studded only and my attak was not studded at the time and he would crush me any where from dead stop to top end and he gpsed 118 same day same lake at least 5-7 sleds on me at end of long lake. And both sleds are running proper rpms, now this weekend thanks to mattzx6 i will have my now apex er and his rtx and we will see who is now king, and always have my little garmin on board..
